Complete Trading Guide & Documentation

Learn how to use all the advanced features of the Position Sizer to protect your capital and maintain a statistical edge in the markets.

1

Basic Setup & Risk %

Start by selecting your account currency and entering your total capital. Then, define how much of your account you are willing to lose if the trade goes wrong (Risk %).

Example: Capital = $10,000. Risk = 1%.
If the Stop Loss is hit, you will exactly lose $100. The tool calculates how many units to buy to make this true.
2

Leverage & Required Margin

Entering a leverage multiplier (e.g., 10x) does NOT change your risk amount. It only changes the margin required to open the position.

Example: You want to buy $50,000 worth of Bitcoin.
At 1x Leverage: Margin required is $50,000.
At 10x Leverage: Margin required is only $5,000.
3

Trading Fees (Net Calculations)

Exchanges charge fees on both entry and exit. Enter your exchange's fee percentage to calculate your True Net Reward and True Risk.

Example: 0.05% Fee on a $10,000 position.
Fee to open: $5. Fee to close: ~$5.
Your Gross Reward might be $200, but your Net Reward will show ~$190.
4

Auto Take-Profit Buttons

Once you set your Entry and Stop Loss, you can use the quick "1:2" or "1:3" buttons next to the Take Profit label.

Example: Entry = 100, Stop Loss = 90 (Distance 10).
Clicking [1:2] automatically sets the Take Profit to 120 (Distance 20).
5

Breakeven Win Rate

This tells you exactly how many trades you need to win out of 100 to not lose money, based on your current Net R:R ratio.

Formula: 1 / (1 + Reward).
If your R:R is 1:3, you only need to win 25% of your trades to break even. A 30% win rate makes you profitable.
6

Margin Warning System

The system checks if the required margin exceeds your stated account capital.

Safety Net: If you risk 1% with a very tight stop loss, the position size might become huge. If the required margin is > $10,000, a yellow warning appears alerting you to use leverage or reduce risk.
